General information about breast reduction
Breast reduction is a surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia and in most cases supported by social security if the amount of gland removed in each breast is greater than 300 grams.
The intervention consists of reducing breast volume and also of correcting the ptosis.
Given the problem of back pain, discomfort in sporting activity and in getting dressed, or the impact in social life, breast reduction is often seen as an option.
The preoperative mammograms are carried out systematically.
If overweight, a diet is recommended before any surgical intervention, with weight stabilization of at least 3 months.
Quitting smoking is strongly recommended.
